The time has come! Our launch date is looming and we are SO excited to share our gorgeous products with you.
We write to firstly say THANK YOU… thank you for your patience and support in our start up phase. Our growing following, words of excitement, daily interactions and support on social media has been truly awesome! It means so much to us.
As we reflect on our journey we thought it would be timely to share our story with you all.
Who are we?
We are two stay at home mums, from the Gold Coast, who met while living in London in 2011.
Today, we have four children collectively, two each and one of each.
Alana is mum to Matilda and George. Liss to Evelyn and Harrison.
Our houses are consistently trashed by the ‘Category 7 Toddler Tornados’ that whirl on through usually dressed in tutus and angel wings, but who really cares right? They own us now!
It was on one of our daily beach walks, four children in tow, that we began brainstorming Caste & Kite. A conversation, inspired by an heirloom cradle made for Liss by her Dad over 30 years ago. We came to realise the lack of beautiful heirloom toys on offer for our children today. We particularly found it hard to find quality boys toys, namely push toys… so we decided to create our own range of heirloom toys to be adored today and for generations to come.
For the past year we have explored the manufacturing process meticulously, both locally and abroad. We are proud to say that our products are designed and made here on the Gold Coast, Australia. Our passion is to provide products that inspire children to explore real world experiences through role play and relish the world around them. Our classic designs, made from birch plywood, have been handcrafted with premium quality, sustainability and longevity in mind. Our products are natural raw wood and are free from any paint or chemicals.
What’s next?
Count down! We are now only weeks away from launching and we couldn’t be more excited! Our little beauties are being handcrafted as we speak.
